  1. Anonymous Foodie,

Your blog is awesome! We would love to chat with you to see if you’d generally be interested in helping us out at burrp! We just launched our Bangalore edition a week ago, and we’ve seen a great response. Feel free to email me when you get the chance and keep up the writing of reviews!

  2. Thanks for dropping by Deap. I am glad you liked it. I have been lurking around burrp for some time now and ma glad Bangalore has been launched as well. I don’t know if my review format will work at burrp but will be glad to chat.

  3. Hi anonymousfoodie,
You have a nice blog too… and yes, we do have the same idea
    :)

  4. Shoot me a note brother, and I’d be more than happy to talk.

  5. Hi there! I am a through and through foodie that also loves to cook and I have travelled to many parts of the world sampling great cuisine and trying to replicate THE great dishes too. I love your blog and wish there were more like this out there. I crave authentic cuisine in Bangalore, but finding the right places can be tough. Here are a few of my favorites in no particular order. Do visit them – I’m sure they’ll rate high up!
    1. Fiorano – Italian, Koramangala, expensive but worth a try.
    2. Khubay – Konkan coast, Koramangala, don’t miss the steamed or grilled whole pomfret, pork dishes are also good.
    3. Shiok – Thai, vietnamese, malaysian, etc., Indiranagar, some dishes a little bit too spicy for me but on the whole quite authentic.
    4. Soo Ra Sang – Korean, Koramangala, excellent barbecue – just like the one Anthony Bourdain had on his trip to S. Korea. The other dishes are great too. If you’re courageous enough to eat japanese, korean is a breeze. Melt in your mouth beef.

  6. Hi Foodie, I am an expat in bangalore, and your blog is a great resource for those of us who are new here. Keep up your great work.

  7. But what has become of you….?

  8. Hi Foodie how come there is no fresh input from you?

  9. Dim Sum – Koramangala.

The best momo’s in town without a doubt. I have eaten food from this joint over a 100 times as it has been the best chinese I have found in Bangalore.
The pricing is affordable and the quality is uncompromised. There is a small eat in area but it is better to order home and enjoy the food with friends.
The menu compromises of Momo’s, their speciality (in pork, chicken and veg, Fried or steamed) served with an awesome sauce which i have not tasted anywhere. Other snacks and starers are followed by
soups, speciality dishes and sizzlers. One of the fewplaces which serves awesome pork in a variety of dishes. Definitely worth shouting about.

  10. Hi,

There is a restaurant called Shiv Shakthi on K.H.Road (Double Road). This was earlier known as Pai restaurant, which got bought over.

Whenever I visit Bangalore, I go there and enjoy their cutlets. Their cutlet stuffing is like any other restaurant, but the outer layer is an even black-brown coating of some batter with either rava/sesame I dont remember, but very yummy.

Please visit – also if you can only find out what the outer layer is made of, do let me know. I have been craving to eat this since my pregnancy – but have not had much of a chance to visit Bangalore. I am a cutlet enthusiast and would love to know the recipe behind this coating.

    Thanks in advance.

  11. I tried Dim Sum of Koramangala. I agree with Suja that they have some great momos. I loved their soups too! Thanks for the detailed review, it sounded authentic and I had to taste the momos immediately, which I did.
